AnimalNacht is the long-running project of Liz Allbee, Ute Wassermann, and Olaf Hochherz, started in 2012. The three artists explore the mimesis and playback of animal UTTERANCES through vocal, instrumental, and synthesized SOUND. AnimalNacht investigates the unknown area of human, animalistic and computer-GENERATED AUDIO in various spatial and acoustic CONFIGURATIONS. with Trumpet & conch, voice & bird-calls, objects, extensions and feedback-based synthesis, they create various sound hybrids and fantastical ecological worlds.
